In occasione del lancio di NME Video, l’autorevole settimanale musicale britannico NME ha stilato quella che è la sua personalissima classifica dei 100 video migliori di ogni tempo. Una top100 che sicuramente farà discutere, vista la mancanza di molti video (ne proponiamo uno a caso, secondo la nostra opinione) e la presenza di molto, forse troppo, materiale recente: può sembrare assurda infatti l’inclusione di Monster, il video di Kanye West uscito solo alcune settimane fa.
Una top ten che, comunque, presenta dei video notevoli, dal seminale Smack My Bitch Up dei The Prodigy al capolavoro Sabotage dei Beastie Boys, passando per il “vincitore” Johnny Cash, con la sua cover di Hurt dei Nine Inch Nails (la migliore rivisitazione di sempre?).
